INTODUCTION TO NORTH AMERICA

Happy Monday 5L:))...

For today, our Super5Lscience blog...will be our Super5Lsocialstudies blog...

...We need to get some social studies in as well:))

Part of our standards (things we need to know) for social studies in 5th grade is that we know the countries that make up the North American continent...We are going to get a start on learning about the countries of North America.

Below is a link to Mr.Nussbaum...I want you to click on that link. The page that opens up will show an interactive map of the North American continent.

http://www.mrnussbaum.com/na.htm

DIRECTIONS:
1. Pick one of the countries (BUT...YOU CAN NOT CHOOSE USA)
2. When you click on the country that you choose it will bring up a box to the right of the map.
3. The box will show facts about the country you chose.
4. I want you to write 3 interesting facts about the country...try to do a country that hasn't been done yet by another student (although if everybody does it...some of you will do the same country)
5. Explore the other countries you didn't choose, and see what you can learn:))
